Following the chart success of the 2018 album Odyssey, it is apparent that appetite for all things Require that’s still going strong. And following a somewhat ambiguous social networking post, there might be a lot in store for fans of the iconic group, since Gary Barlow himself has confirmed new solo music is on the way. The singer also confirmed that he has a”plan” for another few years — that has left some fans wondering whether an accompanying tour may also be in the pipeline. However, will Gary Barlow tour the UK in 2020?
As it stands, there’s been no official announcement about some Gary Barlow excursion in 2020. I’ve reached out to the singer’s representatives for comment, and will update with any new information the moment it becomes available.
According to Digital Spy, speculation surrounding a possible 2020 tour tour emerged after several social networking articles made from the”Shine” singer. In the articles, Barlow revealed he was”pleased to announce a brand new solo album for the Fall of 2020,” and went on to add that he has”a plan or another few years.” Now, this is not exactly affirmation, but its not uncommon a singer backs up a new release with a followup tour — so fingers crossed we get a statement shortly.
According to Hello! Magazine, the Take That star previously discussed his forthcoming projects back in August. From the article, Barlow expressed his love for writing music, and shown that new music is very much”on the move.” Speaking on Instagram, the”Never Forget” singer said,”I am out of my matches and back in the studio now. I have got a lot of new music on the go. Some of it is specific to projects I am involved in. Some of it’s just me, writing what is in my mind and heart. I am never worried about where my songs ends up. It will find a house. Occasionally years after songs I’ve written return in play. There is no time to why and where music comes from. The main thing is to just get it out. I enjoy writing so much!”
According to the BBC, Barlow’s forthcoming 2020 solo album will be his first project since the launch of Take That’s 2018 record, Odyessy. The album was released back in 2018, and quickly became the fastest selling album of the year following changing an impressive 106,000 copies during its first week. The album, which became the group’s eighth chart-topper, featured re-imagined versions of the classic hits — as well as three brand new tracks titled”Out of Our Heads,””Spin,” and”Everlasting.”
After the success of Odyssey, Take That expressed their gratitude to long-time lovers. Speaking to the Official Charts, the group said in a statement,”We are so thankful to all our fans who were out and purchased the album. What a way to celebrate our 30th anniversary! It truly is incredible and it means so much to us.”
So, although nothing has been confirmed, a Gary Barlow tour might well be on its way next year, and I can’t wait to get my hands on some tickets.
